Historical heritage meets contemporary lighting design at the Runsthof
At the Runsthof, centuries-old walls blend with a lighting design that respects the existing structure whilst offering a modern interpretation. The interplay of indirect lighting and precisely placed light sources creates an atmosphere that emphasises the rustic cosiness and gently highlights the materiality of the historic building fabric. Lighting that breathes history and fills the rooms with a timeless aura.

Light as a unifying element: traditional spaces and modern lighting solutions
The lighting at the Runsthof aims to create an authentic blend of old and new. Whilst minimalist wall lights subtly illuminate the vaulted ceilings, understated pendant lights serve as clear visual focal points above the tables. Together with the accent lighting on the mirrors in the bathrooms, this creates a harmonious concept that combines functionality with aesthetic appeal.
From personalised lighting consultancy and close support throughout the implementation phase to the professional delivery and installation of the luminaires – Platinlux acted as the central point of contact for the Runsthof project, working to create a lighting atmosphere that is compelling in its entirety.
